One-Time Passcode Integration Kit

Known issues and limitations

The following are known issues or limitations for the One-Time Passcode Integration Kit.

Known issues

There are no known issues.

Known limitations

  • When PingFederate is operating in standalone mode, changes you make to an existing notification publisher configuration don’t take effect until you save the corresponding adapter instance again.

  • Passcodes are associated with a particular PingFederate session, which causes the following known limitations:

    • The one-time passcode (OTP) timeout value cannot be controlled. The OTP won’t expire as long as it isn’t used or the PingFederate session isn’t expired.

    • You can’t refresh the OTP value using resend request.

  • This integration kit is intentionally designed as a simpler version of multi-factor authentication (MFA) without full features and will not add any new feature in the future.

    • For full-featured MFA operation, PingOne MFA or PingID is recommended.
